Ubisoft plans to deliver the much anticipated New Game Plus option for Assassin's Creed Mirage in a forthcoming title update next week. This new feature will allow players to return to Basim's quest while maintaining their existing progress and unlocking new rewards, boosting the entire gameplay experience.
The much-anticipated optional permadeath mode, which was originally slated for inclusion in the December update, will not be included in the forthcoming release. Ubisoft told fans that the production team is working hard to polish the permadeath option, which is now planned to be released in an early 2024 update.
Assassin's Creed Mirage, which debuted on October 5 across platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC is being hailed as Ubisoft's most successful PS5 and Xbox Series X/S launch to date in terms of unit sales. The good response compares favourably to other successful releases such as Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey causing Ubisoft to express gratitude for the enormous support from the gaming community.
The game, developed as a tribute to the original Assassin's Creed highlights parkour, stealth, and assassinations, signalling a return to the series' action-adventure formula. Ubisoft Bordeaux, the company behind the Assassin's Creed Valhalla expansion Wrath of the Druids, led the development of Assassin's Creed Mirage.
Aside from its present platform availability, an iPhone 15 Pro version of the game is set to be released in early 2024, bringing this immersive gaming experience to a wider audience. As fans eagerly await the introduction of New Game Plus, the promise of a permadeath mode in 2024 only adds to the excitement around the ever-changing world of Assassin's Creed Mirage.
