The long-awaited Xbox Series X/S version of Baldur's Gate 3 has been given an official release date, and it is now available. The game's developer Larian made the announcement during The Game Awards 2023, as promised.
The Xbox release was announced at The Game Awards when Baldur's Gate 3 not only made its Xbox Store debut but also won the prestigious title of Game of the Year.
Baldur's Gate 3 was nominated for an incredible eight accolades at The Game accolades sharing the spotlight with only Alan Wake 2 demonstrating its considerable effect in the gaming industry.
Baldur's Gate 3 was released for PC in August, followed by PS5 and Mac releases the following month, and it remains one of the most highly regarded titles of the current gaming generation with significant commercial success.
Larian revealed last month that a physical Deluxe Edition of the game is in the works, with a release date set for the first quarter of 2024. This edition will be available for $79.99 / €79.99 on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC.
Swen Vincke, founder and CEO of Larian, expressed his thanks for the recognition last month.
“It's a real honor to be nominated for so many awards. Seeing our little ‘niche RPG’ make such waves is very motivating. I wish I could tell you about our next big game, but this is really encouraging us to ensure it pushes many boundaries. I’m very excited about it.”
A physical copy of the game, a thorough world map, the original three-disc soundtrack, a Mind Flayer poster, a specially designed Deluxe Edition box evoking the 'big box' PC editions of previous games, 32 stickers, and two patches are just a few of the numerous apparent extras that come with the Deluxe Edition.
