Capcom has officially revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered. During the Capcom Next event, it was announced that the remastered edition of the iconic 2006 game will be released on September 19, 2024.

The Deluxe Remaster offers considerable quality-of-life enhancements, such as auto-saving, redesigned controls, and a better user experience. Notably, the game will be powered by Capcom's RE Engine, the adaptable technology that underpins many of the company's recent successes.

"The graphics, including characters and environments, have been renewed and greatly improved over the original," according to the game's description on Steam. "Facial emotions, material textures, and blood splatter all appear considerably more lifelike. Overwhelming waves of zombies overwhelm the screen, with entirely rebuilt visuals."

The game's digital deluxe version will include 17 more clothes for the protagonist Frank West, as well as 17 music tracks that will play throughout the in-game mall.

The original Dead Rising, created by Capcom Japan and produced by Keiji Inafune, was published in 2006. It starred Frank West, a photographer stranded in a zombie-infested retail mall in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado. In 2016, the game received an HD remake for modern platforms.

Dead Rising's success spawned more sequels. Blue Castle Games produced the first sequel, Dead Rising 2, which was ultimately bought by Capcom and renamed Capcom Vancouver in 2010. Capcom Vancouver also created Dead Rising 2: Off the Record in 2011, Dead Rising 3 in 2013 as an Xbox One launch title released by Microsoft, and Dead Rising 4 in 2016.

With the approaching release of the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, fans can expect to play through their favorite game with updated features and a new style.
