Corsair Gaming, a gaming hardware provider, has said that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) could be released for PC in early 2026, following its displayed console launch later this year.

While Rockstar Games has yet to formally confirm a PC version, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, has lately indicated that a PC release is expected, consistent with the series' previous pattern of delayed launches.

Corsair’s Insight on GTA 6’s Release Timeline

During a recent financial earnings call, Corsair Gaming's Vice President of Finance, Ronald van Veen, spoke on the highly anticipated title's release schedule.

“Yeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about,” van Veen noted. “We’ll get a glimpse of that later this year on consoles. My understanding is that it’s set to launch in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC.”

Rockstar has generally highlighted console releases for its major titles, with PC versions coming months or years later. Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5), for example, premiered on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, before coming to PC in 2015.

Take-Two’s Growing Focus on PC Gaming

Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two's CEO, recently acknowledged the growing importance of the PC gaming sector in the company's release strategy. Zelnick explained,

“With Civilization 7, it’s available on console, PC, and Switch right away,For other titles, we don’t always launch across all platforms simultaneously. Historically, Rockstar has started with select platforms before expanding.”

He also emphasized the shifting landscape of the gaming industry:

“We’ve seen PC become a more and more important part of what used to be a console-focused business, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that trend continues. Of course, there will also be a new console generation on the horizon.”

What This Means for PC Players

If Corsair's estimates are correct, PC gamers may have to wait a few months before seeing GTA 6. While this delay is consistent with Rockstar's previous practices, it also indicates that the PC version may benefit from further polish and changes.

Rockstar and Take-Two have yet to make any formal comments regarding a PC release, so fans will have to remain tuned for further information as the game's highly anticipated release date near.
