In development footage leaked online.
Rockstar games celebrate their 9th anniversary of GTA 5, and other side gameplay footage of the upcoming next GTA 6 leaked online. A user on the GTA forum named teapotuberhacker posted a zip file including 90 clips they claim from a test build of GTA 6.
The hacker named teapotuberhacker said " Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. It's possible I could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build." and also mentioned that claims to be the person responsible for the recent Uber hack, and says that they got the video by gaining access to a Rockstar employee’s Slack account, which is the same MO for Uber’s massive breach.
In the leaked footage, gameplay takes place in a Miami-analog fiction city that matched recent reports. In-game both male and female protagonist characters, a poolside conversation between a male player-character and a couple of redneck associates.
The recent leak claimed the game has been in development since 2014 (GTA 5 originally launched in 2013) and was originally code-named 'Project Americas'. Developer Rockstar and publisher Take-Two have yet to respond to the apparent leak, but it will be fascinating to see any updates.
