Square Enix's hit action-adventure game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is presently available for free on the Epic Games Store. Before it is replaced by the thrilling Sail Forth on January 11, 8 am PT / 11 am ET / 4 pm GMT, gamers can get this blockbuster title for free.
Square Enix disclosed that although Guardians of the Galaxy received favourable reviews from fans, the game's sales did not meet their early projections. Yosuke Matsuda, the company's president, stated in a results briefing given in February 2021 that, despite the game earning positive reviews, launch sales did not exceed expectations.
Matsuda remarked,
"Despite strong reviews, the game’s sales on launch undershot our initial expectations. However, sales initiatives that we kicked off in November 2021 and continued into the new year have resulted in sales growth, and we intend to work to continue to expand sales to make up for the title’s slow start."
The Epic Games Store, which is well-known for its weekly free game promotions, has apparently increased the ante by giving away a total of 17 free games throughout the Christmas season as a festive present. Some of the biggest titles of the year are also available at significant prices through the platform's current Holiday Sale. Assassin's Creed Mirage is available for $23 / £21, Hogwarts Legacy is $24 / £20, Alan Wake 2 is $27 / £21.50, and EA Sports FC 24 is $19 / £16. Benefit from these holiday discounts to improve your gameplay without going over budget.
