EA has some fantastic news for skateboarding game fans. After a year of restricted PC playtesting, the business has officially announced that "skate." (yeah, the lowercase hurts) playtesting will be expanded to consoles. This decision comes as a comfort to many fans who have been hoping to get their hands on the action on their favourite gaming platforms.

The "skate." playtesting phase began in July, giving lucky PC customers an early view at EA's creative efforts. While a firm release date for the complete game is still uncertain, the playtests have done well to keep fans interested during this anxious period, albeit only for those fortunate enough to be chosen for the PC tests.

If you missed out on the initial playtests, fear not! The developers have acknowledged the invaluable feedback received from the community and have been diligently working to ensure the game captures the essence of the beloved "Skate" series. Their focus has primarily been on the essential aspect of creating an enjoyable gaming experience. This has led to the incorporation of exciting features such as pop-up challenges, collaborative building areas, and a range of new tricks like firecrackers, wallies, and slappies, all aimed at rekindling the thrill players know and love from the previous titles.

The developers expressed their gratitude to the dedicated fans who participated in the playtests over the past year and emphasized that they are actively considering all the feedback, addressing bugs, and implementing ideas shared by the community. For those who haven't yet had the opportunity to participate, fret not, as there are still more playtests on the horizon.

Now, the most promising update arrives for console gamers! Although the playtests have been restricted to PC so far, the developers have reassured the eager console skateboarding community that their turn is coming soon. While they haven't revealed a specific date just yet, the confirmation is undoubtedly a positive sign for console owners who have been eagerly waiting to take part in the playtesting action.

Given the lack of a set schedule for platform playtests and the full game release, it's clear that we'll have to be patient. However, given EA's passion and work in refining and perfecting the "skate." experience, the wait is sure to be justified. So, stay tuned for additional information and be ready to shred and grind once "skate." officially enters the game world.
