The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, a renowned Naughty Dog title, will be released on PC on April 3, 2025. This is Sony's first release that requires a PlayStation Network (PSN) account for a single-player game. While PSN connection is standard for multiplayer titles, its use in a just solo experience has been attacked in the past.

The PC version, which is now available for wishlisting on Steam and the Epic Games Store, promises an improved experience with upgraded visuals, additional "Lost Levels" playable sequences, and the roguelike survival mode, No Return. However, the PSN requirement has already mixed debate, particularly because it could limit access for people in places where PSN is unavailable.

Sony previously faced outrage for a similar choice in Helldivers 2, finally reversing the policy due to player outcry. Despite the controversy, expectations remain high. Pre-ordering allows players to gain early access to the crafting training manual as well as an ammo capacity boost.

Adding to the excitement, HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 is scheduled for in April, coinciding with the PC launch. With a critically acclaimed remaster and a highly anticipated show on the way, the series continues to solidify its legacy while reaching out to new audiences.
